Why the Local Guy (or Gal)?
Every once in a while, a potential client will ask me why they should buy their signage and graphics from my small business versus the (online company, out of town company, the larger company). I love to answer that question. It’s easy to answer because there are a lot of really good reasons. Here’s what I say to them:
First of all, signs and graphics aren’t as simple as they sound. Knowledgeable “feet on the street” will ensure that the entire process, from measuring to installation, goes smoothly. We’re out checking the details of your walls, building construction, you name it – sizes, colors, materials. It all plays into making the process go seamlessly because if one of those little details gets overlooked, your investment may not represent you as well as it should: it may not fit, it may not adhere properly –there are a lot of potential whack-a-moles in the process and we knock them all out before they become a problem for you.
Because we’re right here and we’ve been here for the past six years, we take the time to get to know you and your business. We have a few clients who use unfamiliar descriptions to refer to our products and what we do. It’s not industry terminology, but we know them so well we can speak their language. After all, it’s not about how they can fit into our model, it’s about how WE can help them in theirs. Relationships are critical to what we do because we are an extension of your marketing and facilities team.
The businesses who come in from out of town simply can’t be present to do all the things we do. It’s physically impossible for them to do that from so far away. There are too many details and things that come up on a regular basis. We handle everything that you want or need for us to handle as it relates to your job, right here in your town.
Pricing. We may not always be the lowest cost. Sometimes, we will be. But I can guarantee you that ALL of the time, our service and attention to detail will be the thing that makes a little cost difference worth it. It’s peace of mind.
