Step-By-Step Apartment Signage Walkthrough

Let's Start A Conversation:

2/22/2017

Project Name:

Hollyview Apartments, Hollywood, CA

Right next door to the Dolby Theater and the Academy Awards Ceremony.

Project Scope:

Client was upgrading the 30+ Unit Apartment Complex and re-branding.

Signs included Guest Floor Suite Indicator Signs, Rental Information/ Vacancy Signs, and a Front Lawn Monument Sign.

Project Timeline and Summary:

This client found Image360 South Bay/ Manhattan Beach through our website in July of 2016 by utilizing the on-line request a quote form.

After a few emails and conversations to learn about the scope of the project and some preliminary mock-ups were provided, we set up an in-house meeting at our Facility in early November.  I was able to provide the management team a tour of our operations and share with them a range of different materials we could use for the various signs for the project.

This helped narrow down the possibilities and helped them gain confidence in our abilities.

December was filled with mock-ups and changes to get the final set of signs that both gave their desired branding and fit their budget for the project.

Once all was approved at the start of the New Year, we were able to begin production of the signs.  The final count was 6 Suite Indicator Signs 10” x 16” made from ½” thick Clear Acrylic with graphics applied to the Second (back) surface and the signs were installed using brushed aluminum Stand-Offs.  A 20” x 26” Rental Information/Vacancy Sign was produced from a Composite Metal and included a custom “slider” to indicate when there were vacant units available for rent.  The major project of the group was a custom built 9’ long x 12” wide x 4’ tall monument sign for the Front Entrance.  This sign was made by creating an aluminum frame skeleton and covering it with both painted aluminum panels as well as the branding panels.  These panels were digitally printed graphics applied to thin aluminum that wrapped the entire top half of the sign.  Our final challenge was installing the sign.  Normally, this would not be an issue but this winter has been abnormally rainy and we had to wait and find the right time to dig the holes and place the sign.  In the end this was a very successful project that was completed to the satisfaction of not only the client but also for our team that produced the signs.
