Your 2024 Graphics Planning Guide!

Your 2024 Graphics Planning Guide!

Let's Start A Conversation:

10/24/2023

This year’s gone by in a flash – and it’s already time to start planning for what the new year will bring you and your business. We know it can be a challenge to think about what 2024 has in store for you, so we’ve put together a guide to help you get ahead in your signage and graphics planning.

Every season brings its own marketing opportunities that can help you rise above the rest. Here are our recommendations, season-by-season, for what you should focus your marketing efforts on.

trade show boothWinter: Trade Shows

You may be thinking, “industry events don’t typically happen in the winter, so why should I spend time on them now?” It’s simple – you don’t want to wait until you’re unpacking your displays to realize that they’re out-of-date or in need of replacement!

The warmer months are popular for trade shows and expos, so take time in the earliest part of the year to plan ahead for them. Spend an afternoon in the in the coming months to take stock of what you currently have, and ask yourself if it aligns with your current brand standards or if anything is damaged. Be sure to also ask yourself if there’s anything you want to add to your displays that you don’t already have!

Spring: Outdoor Events

Community fairs, farmers markets, concerts, charity tournaments and other outdoor events start to make their return in spring, meaning it’s the best time to consider the signs and graphics you use outside.

Consider what you can do to stand out in a crowd at one of these events: use flutter flags to add dynamic motion to your logo, or add your branding to a tent that also helps protect your staff from the sun. A-frames are also a versatile option for guiding guests that you can repurpose for other uses at your business, too! Don’t forget your sponsors too – Having eye-catching on banners on site help identify those companies and organizations who are helping to make your event a success!

Colts Run monument sign in Marlton, NJ Summer: Upgrading Indoor & Outdoor Signage

The heat is on during the summertime, and lots of sunshine can fade out your older signs. It’s a perfect time to take a hard look at both your outdoor and indoor signage to see what can be upgraded, updated or replaced!

Outside, your signs often take a beating from the weather during the summer. Take note of post and panel or monument signage that’s faded, cracked or otherwise looking a little worn-out, and make plans to replace them before the end of the year. Don’t forget to take a look at night as well to make sure important visual messages are clearly seen 24-7.

Indoors, areas with a lot of natural light which have issues of glare can be addressed with window graphics – including perforated film which allows for visibility to the outside. For interior glass surfaces that could use additional privacy, but with a classic touch, consider adding frosted vinyl that can also serve the additional purpose of showcasing your branding!

Fall: End of Year Sales & Promos

With the holiday season at the end of every year, you’ll want to start thinking about how you want to promote your end-of-year promotions and events  long before the holidays start to creep up on you!

Temporary signage like yard signs, A-frames and window static clings are all great ways to promote your seasonal sales, so be sure to order ahead once you know what your game plan is. You can also put vinyl banners and banner stands to use to help grab attention where and when you need it – and they can be easily reused year-after-year, too!

Whether you’re in retail or not, thinking about the experience your guests have when they enter your building is paramount, too. Think about enhancing blank walls or floors with custom vinyl graphics to point them in the right direction or create an ambiance that speaks to your values.

For instance, you may need new vehicle wraps after your fleet experiences more road wear than you expected, or you may need an outdoor sign replaced following a tough storm. Having a cushion in your budget can help you withstand the little surprises that are sure to come up!
