With the county’s growing population and corresponding need to provide nutritional advice and related services to more women, infants and children, the DeKalb County Board of Health opened a new WIC clinic in late December, 2015.
Fellow tenants in the Tucker Station Shopping Center, the team at Image360 was among the first to welcome their new neighbors… and learn of the clinic’s signage needs, which included publicizing the clinic’s mission with designs for its 15 windows.
The staff at the new healthcare facility wanted window graphics that were bright and welcoming rather than clinical or institutional. What’s more, people within the clinic would need to be able to see through the upper window panes. The smaller, lower panes could feature opaque solutions.
Up for the challenge, designers at Image360 recommended a series of vibrant graphics showing women and children enjoying healthy nutrition choices. Graphics fabricated using perforated film would enable staff and visitors to see through the upper windows, while opaque logos would cover the lower portions.
With approved designs in hand, Image360 addressed another major challenge. The calendar had crept past Thanksgiving, but all graphics needed to be installed the week before Christmas. On each passing day, the chance for the warm, dry conditions that are optimal for vinyl film installation diminished.
Close proximity favored the team at Image360. Able to monitor the weather from their location just down the sidewalk in the shopping center, the sign maker installed the adhesive-backed vinyl graphics on an opportune day prior to the holidays—and well in time for the WIC center’s grand opening!
