Every guy’s dream is to have the perfect man cave one day. A place suitable for cracking a cold one with the boys! If the opportunity presents itself where you have the space to morph into the ultimate man cave, don’t mess it up. To help you execute the perfect man cave, we have made this man cave essentials list you must check off.
What is a man cave without a big screen TV. The room literally does not count as a man cave if it does not have a big screen TV to watch Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday afternoons. The whole room needs to be focused on the TV. The bigger the better when it comes to your man cave’s TV size.
Comfy seats are a necessity. If the seats are not comfy, you’ll never get anybody to come back to your man cave. This is a place where you are supposed to come to after a long day at work and relax and put your feet up in a nice cozy seat.
No man cave should be without a form of entertainment. A poker table has brought many guys over the years closer. Having a poker night once a week gives guys a reason to snap out of their work life and enjoy time with friends. You can be the one to bring all of your friends together!
A man cave needs to be stocked with refreshments at all times. Even though stereotypically, a man cave should only be stocked with beer, you should have drinks ready for everybody. A variety of drink choices such as soda, juices, water, and beer will keep everybody happy.
Signage separates a good man cave from a GREAT man cave. You can just slap a couple posters on the wall, your man cave signage needs to be well thought out. There needs to be a grand entrance sign that sets the tone right as people walk in. At least one of your signs needs to be your “Man Cave Rules.” Some examples include “Must have thick skin,” “No story will be told for longer than 5 minutes,” and “No Snuggies allowed.” The more personalized the better. Custom signs that are tailored to your name, interests, and hobbies will make it feel homier for you. It is imperative to have quality signage to make for an awesome man cave. A bare walled man cave is flat out boring.
You don’t even have to watch the movie, it gives you and your man cave some validity. A man cave needs to feel manly, and a Scarface DVD is the perfect touch.
