PITTSBURGH, Pa. (August 9, 2014)—Image360 – Pittsburgh West Owner Dave Jones recently announced his graphics firm’s purchase of the high gamut, full-color environmentally-friendly Mimaki JVX 200-2513 flatbed printer. The equipment acquisition will help the firm keep up with increased production demand and is a “green” addition to their equipment base.
The Mimaki flatbed has the ability to directly print on materials 4ft. x 8ft and up to 2 in. thick; creating large-format signs and graphics, wall decorations, retail displays, museum and fine art reproductions, specialty packaging, point of purchase displays and detailed interior signage. The printer also offers the option of using two-layer printing with full colors simultaneously to create rich and vibrant colors on transparent materials.
In addition, with LED – UV technology and the absence of VOCs, no petroleum-based vinyl and the ability to print on more recyclable substrates, this helps the business to continue to focus on “green” sign making technology.
“I strive to keep our business on the cutting edge of technology by continuing to offer new and innovative products,” explains Jones. “But while we want to maintain our commitment to innovation, we also like to ensure that we are providing the highest quality and the cleanest possible production methods by going green whenever we can.”
