When Amero Foods sought a distinctive logo sign for the reception area of its new headquarters, it reached out to potential suppliers the new-fashioned way—with an online Google search of nearby signage and graphics providers.
While price was one consideration, the manufacturer of pastry ingredients also placed a high value on creativity and experience.
The new lobby sign would have but one chance to make a great first impression on visitors. Similarly, Amero Foods would have but one opportunity to create this new and important sign on the occasion of its headquarters opening in January 2016.
Image360 ranked high on Google’s results page—but it rated highest with Amero Foods in terms of creative design and all-in-one service, thereby winning the project.
After visiting the new headquarters site and performing all measurements, Image360 created a stunning drawing. And while the proposed PastryStar sign concept was simple (and striking), the fabrication of the selected design was anything but. Employing its extensive experience in non-traditional, illuminated signage, Image360 crafted a stand-off sign measuring 45 inches by 45 inches and constructed with no fewer than four layers plus lighting. Engraved details optimize the display’s light emitting diode (LED) illumination.
With approved plans in hand, the expert fabricators went to work. The sign’s first layer of medium-density overlay (MDO) attached to the wall by a cleat system while the other layer of MDO was digitally printed and floated above the other to hide the wiring. These were topped with two layers of acrylic—one featuring the logo’s chef hat and the other engraved to give this sign’s five stars dimension and drama.
Of course, the new sign wasn’t the only thing that was illuminated upon plug-in. The faces of the people at Amero Foods lit up, too, when the concept came to life in an elegant and eye-catching lobby sign from Image360!
